I checked out Frango's for dinner and the restaurant was so busy with a queue out the door. I decided to order the double chicken burger combo which was quite delicious, the thin slices of chicken in the burger were nice and their chilli sauce was mild and tasty. Hubs ate the wrap which was tasty but didn't have much chicken in it. The servings of chips were quite huge. Despite being so busy, the food didn't take long to be prepared.
One thing that didn't impress me was that there wasn't anyone frequently cleaning the tables, so you had to clean it yourself. I guess they were too busy.
Absolutely disgusting place, went there with my family, really dirty atmosphere, but worst of all ; who I assume is the manager and/ or owner was pacing outside of the complex when I was just about to leave. Me, my wife and daughter observed the man pick his nose TWICE, eat it as he suspiciously peered around for any onlookers, then proceeded to wipe it on the pole ahead, then did it again. We will never attend this place again!
Shows no sauce on this items and it has all sauce over it including onions. Also missed part of the order and didn’t add extra onto other burgers. Took it up with Uber and they will also no helpful on this matter. Poor efforts and can’t eat food due you reactions caused.
We had the chicken, chips and salad. For the meal deal, they did swap out the rice for a salad but charge the full price difference. They wouldn’t allow to swap the included chilli sauce for another less spicy option. When I got it home, it turned out to be super hot and inedible, so it’s only for the real chilli lovers (for reference, a Thai red curry is a good level of heat for me).
The tabouli was very ordinary, too vinegary and lacking taste.
I actually wanted charcoal chicken and google said Frango’s was the closest. It turns out it’s Portuguese chicken (like Nando’s), not an actual charcoal chicken shop. If I want this in future, I’ll go to Nando’s which is nearby and you can get their awesome lemon and herb option.
I brought the steak and chicken ciabatta with a small chips for $34 last night and the food was very ordinary, the steak was chewy and the diced lettuce was grose. The meal was over priced and very a let down. I won't be coming back.
Food is always good and consistent but staff that serve at the counter do not smile and speak very softly. I understand they are young but they should be trained to have clear and friendly communication.
Words can’t describe how pathetic this place is. They charge stupid prices for things like a micro tub of chilli mayo to go with your chicken and then will forget to put it in the bag. You’ll then leave get home and realize you have donated $2 to their business for nothing in return.
How hard is it to do the one job you’re paid for?
Tasty food, I totally love their chickens, generous portions, atmosphere of KFC or something, usually quite loud and crowded
